Our Director
Mr. Andrew Smith
Mr. Smith graduated from Poquoson High School, then attended Old Dominion University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. While he attended ODU, he participated in numerous ensembles, including Wind Ensemble, Orchestra, Percussion Ensemble, and Marching Band, including performing at the 2014 Virginia International Tattoo. He is currently performing with the Virginia Wind Symphony.
Mr. Smith began his teaching career at William E. Waters Middle School in Portsmouth, working with both Band and Orchestra. He has also worked with several drum lines in the Hampton Roads area, including the ODU Drumline and Front Ensemble for the 2017 Virginia International Tattoo.
